I’ll start my post with some proverbs that I randomly saved days before in my email.
“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” — Marilyn Monroe
“Sometimes life knocks you on your ass… get up, get up, get up!!! Happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them.” — Steve Maraboli
“The way to choose happiness is to follow what right and real and the truth for you. You can never be happy living someone else’s dream. Live your own. And you will for sure know the meaning of happiness.”
Nowadays, world seems filled with so many lies, falsehoods, arrogant yet greedy people, and tons of other horrible things. It’s like everything getting worst and worst each days. the same condition happens to nature, which also getting ruined and corrupted for only God knows how much. Yeah, it’s sad to hear any of those. Sometimes human being were and are act careless and often do not want to think over about the damage they were created. The damages refer to anything, from environment til the most sensitive part of human being, feeling.
Sooner or later, these things begin affecting us. Maybe we do not even realize it. People tend to be more and more judgemental to their society, to each other, even to themselves. It changes the way you treat others, the way you think and act in some specific conditions, your perspective, the way you see yourself, the way you decide, which in the end, it could change the way you see and understand this world. Like I always said, negativity breeds negativity. The more negativity force upon you from the environment you live in and the more negativity thoughts told from the people around will eventually shape you into a person who only see the bad in life, that everything you have is not enough to satisfy your need. Whooaaa.. sounds like a greedy person is on the way hahaha
Being the teenager that I am now, I cannot speak for what happen in the world of those who claim to be grown up and mature person. I turned 20 years old few days ago and this is (hopefully) going to be my last year of college. Students in the same position like my current state usually start to think more about what will they do in the future. Simply to say that they are possessed to be as successful as humanly possible. Reaching the top. No one is willing to lose and end up as an unemployment which somehow people defined as a loser.
Well, in another word, graduated are all the same, determined to strive for success. Success as in work with high-paying salary, wear designer suits, and be someone important and perhaps also famous, fly to here and there. Believe it or not, more and more young people define success that way. And there are a lot more who set their mindset to believe that the only way to get their happy ending is to be success as it supposed to be that way. Thanks to movies and schools, you’ve done a good job on teaching us. Lol.
Unfortunately, in this world, there always people who gain less and loss more, people who have less luck and less opportunity, people who get different path and destiny than the one they’ve trying so hard to achieve. So what about them? Just because they dont have as much as resources as the other have, then they won’t be success? Will they never be proud of themselves? Will they never get their own happy ending? Will they have to just give up? Or will you (if that is you)?
The answer is definitely NO.
Pardon me, but I’m kind girl who always believes that happy ending do exist. When your goal is to become a doctor but you end up as a journalist or a writer, maybe this isn’t what you pictured. But sometimes you don’t get the life you imagined. And sometimes you have to figure out how to write your own happy ending.
A lot of researches prove that being success is not the only guarantee to get you a happy ending. It’s not about what people see outside but more like what you feel inside. Happiness is about gratitude on a simple things in life and how you enjoy it. It’s never about the quantity, but always about the value of it. And by the time you find contentment and happiness in the same point of your life, there is where you find your happy ending.
Last but not the least, for you who do not believe that such happy ending is actually exist in the real life, think about what I am about to say. The key of happiness is gratitude, to feel grateful on every simple thing happen in your life. To always believe that there is meaning behind unpleasant even horrible moments you’ve been through. To understand that there is reason and purpose of each human being. One person is as important as the others. Live for your own cause and on your own standard, because just then, you will feel content and grateful. Then before you know it, your happy ending will come around.
